Children’s books offer a diverse range of literature, so it is sometimes extremely difficult to choose a particular book. You’re not sure if it will be too adult or too kiddy or a genre they will enjoy, or even if it’s just too silly. It is a dilemma I constantly face when buying new children’s books, myself. Here are some of the books that my children enjoyed.
Children’s Books Ages 0 – 5
It is never too early to start reading to your children. Children of this age respond best to repetitive noises and rhythmic language. They are also starting to develop visually, so picture books or pop-up books can help them develop.

Children’s Books ages 9 – 12
This is the ideal age to introduce your children to some of the more complex issues and areas in life. At this age, they are able to process these topics mentally and emotionally whilst building schemes and understanding about complex topics.

This is an extraordinarily layered book that deals beautifully with the difficulties of cancer. This book allows you to examine and deal with any loss that you’ve experienced.

This is an ideal time to start the Harry Potter Series. With each new book, the characters age and so do the complexities of their lives. This series of books grows with your child.
